The Runaway

Our dog maxi used to have a habit of running away from home. But after a few months we got here not to. But recently my dad was outside with the dog and she ran away. She ran across a few streets but then he caught her. Luckily we have always  caught Maxi. Maxi is a really fast dog and it is hard to catch her. I have to go to sleep so goodbye... for now.

When the humans are away the dog will play

soon me and my family are going down to Washington D.C. to see Obama sworn in but maxi the dog can't come with us. we think it will be to long of a car ride and she will probably destroy the place we are staying. Also it will be hard to bring dog food. Luckily we hired a dog-sitter to feed Maxi. We are going to washington for only three days. Last year when we went to London she stayed home with a dog-sitter for a whole week ( or two i forgot. ) Our dog will probably be fine staying home without anyone there. Sometimes we leave her alone for an hour or two and when we come back she is sleeping or chewing on a bone. But maxi loves when we are home more then anything. We hope maxi will be O.K. when we are gone. 

Note: I won't be writing any posts for the next three days cause I will be in Washington D.C.

The start of the maxi loving

I ( Eli ) love dogs. And i love all dogs. But one dog i love more then any dog : Maxi. It all started on a nice day in August 2007. Me and my brother and sister had been waiting for years to get a dog. We would always ask our parents and they would always say next year. After a very long time of asking our parents if we can get a dog they finally let us got to the animal shelter. There were lots of grown up dogs there but only three puppies. One puppy was biting everyone and the other one was to lazy. But one had a golden coat and didn't bite or sleep to much. We looked at the dog and let it on the floor to run and my parents thought about it for a LONG time. Finally they had a talk together out of our earshot. Then our parents came and told us... WE CAN GET THE DOG!!! me and my brother and sister were so happy. Then we brought our dog home and had a small party. That was the start of it all. Above: Our first picture with our dog Maxi.
